Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Acting Director to lead and inspire our students in the art of performance. With 2–3 years of experience in acting instruction and theatre direction, the ideal candidate will guide students through practical and theoretical aspects of acting while overseeing in-class performances, showcases, and production rehearsals. This role is crucial in shaping the creative and professional growth of aspiring performers.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct acting classes across levels, focusing on techniques such as Stanislavski, Meisner, Uta Hagen, or Method Acting.
Direct in-house productions, student showcases, and scene work.
Mentor students on character development, script analysis, and emotional authenticity.
Collaborate with voice, movement, and improvisation coaches for integrated training.
Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations.
Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals.
Stay updated with modern acting practices and bring innovation to the classroom.
Assist in casting and directing short films or stage projects within the institute.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Performing Arts, Theatre, Acting, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience as an acting instructor or assistant director in a theatre/film environment.
Strong understanding of classical and contemporary acting techniques.
Demonstrated experience in directing stage or on-camera performances.
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with young or beginner actors.
Understanding of on-camera acting and audition preparation.
Ability to manage rehearsals, timelines, and performance logistics.
